Will this Wireless Remote trigger work for a canon 40D?

It says it's for DSLR Cameras with Built-in Infrared - but what it "built-in infrared?" Would a canon 40D have that? thank-you!
Your 40D does NOT have an infrared receiver in the body, like the Rebel series does. That's what it means about "built-in infrared", the receiver is built into the body. This controller will NOT work with your 40D.
Your camera uses a round, 3-pin plug to attach a remote. You can get radio slave shutters that will fit this plug on Ebay for about $25 or so, all day long.
